It is OEM to 1988 16 valve 900-S models, but also works with all 88-90 16 valve 2.0 liter 900 / 900-S US models. This is a pretty rare ECU, ECU. Part number-- 0280000536 (0 280 000 536) / Saab part number 7 538 689 . This is Originally from a 16 valve 1988 900-S, These are typically more reliable than the 89's with the 0280000564 ECU - which this will directly replace. A faulty ECU is one of the most common no start or random stalling problems with these cars. These can also cause issues with erroneous check engine lights, idle control problems as well as emission control & cold or hot start problems. I have also seen fuel pump relay turn on faults (ECU won't turn on the fuel pump), as well as an condition where the high speed injector driver has failed.
