BMW ECU

Up for sale is a Working, in excellent condition BMW ECU. Bosch Part number-- 0 261 200 173. This ECU should work with BMW cars equipped with the M20 engine including: 1987 - 1991 325i (E30)1986 - 1991 325ix (E30)1988 - 1990 525i (E34) 1988 - 1991 Z1  As always to be sure of fit, confirm your original control units part number.

This unit was removed from a recent crash damaged insurance totaled car that still ran and had no check engine lights on.

This unit failing is one of the more common no start or random stalling problems with these Motronic ECU controlled cars. If yours does not have this problem, keep an extra ECU in the trunk, you might some day be glad you did... Auto parts stores do not generally have these, and these units typically have to be special ordered from most dealers new for big $$ (often times over $1000!), and finding a good one second hand is getting to be hard as these cars age out of their "normal service life".  Do proper diagnostics to be sure this IS your problem, but even if it isn't at this price, buy it and put it on the shelf.
