Up for sale is a Working, in excellent condition 1990 Audi V8 ECU. VW/Audi part number 441 907 404 C (441907404C) , Bosch part # 0 261 200 198 (0261200198). This ECU should fit many Audi V8 Quattros equipped with an auto trans from 88-91. Possibly even other models/years, however as always your best bet is to match the part numbers with the part you need. Even if you don't have a bad ECU, this is great to keep as a back up or for diagnostic purposes. As always with this type of component your best bet is to match the part number to the one on your original ECU. A faulty ECU is a common no start or random stalling problem with these cars. These can also cause issues with erroneous check engine lights, idle control problems as well as emission control & cold or hot start problems. Low power & lean running are also fair game. I have also seen fuel pump relay turn on faults (ECU won't turn on the fuel pump), as well as an condition where the high speed injector driver has failed. This causes the car to sit and idle fine, but it won't accelerate. Price this unit new or used, you will see that this is a fantastic deal. Comes with a 30 day functionality guarantee, -

These units are getting harder and harder to find!  The Audi V8 is a totaly sweet ride.  Power everything, leather V8, automatic, AWD!  A similar car today would set you back $70K easy. These Early Audi V8's are getting to be a very rare bird indeed!  If you still drive one of these, you SHOULD have this in your parts stash.  This is located on the driver side, under your knee bolster.  Though it may look hard to remove, it is actually fairly straightforward.
