This is a BMW Complete ECU Kit for BMW Series E38, E39 or 740i, 540i with a M62 Engine Manual Throttle Body. (Bosch number 0261204467)

This Complete ECU Kit comes with 1 ECU (DME) , 1 EWS (Anti Theft) , and 1 TCU (transmission control unit) - matched set from a crash damaged car that still ran!  My BMW technician friend tells me that this set, SHOULD allow you to replace a defective TCU, ECU or EWS module, provided that you replace all 3 as a matched set, and program your original key to the EWS module.  The original VIN number that this control unit is from is stamped on the ECU which may be required for programming.
